BREAKING: Gunmen kill Lawmaker, kidnap wives

Unidentified gunmen have killed Honourable Musa Baraza, a lawmaker in the Bauchi State House of Assembly.

Nigerian cable news online gathered that Baraza was killed on Thursday night at his residence in the Dass Local Government Area.

The lawmaker represented Dass Constituency in the House before his death.

The Bauchi State Police Command confirmed the incident on Friday morning.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Ahmed Wakili, said the assailants also kidnapped his two wives and one-year-old child.

Wakili, however, said a crack team of police personnel have been mobilised to the area to commence an immediate investigation to rescue the victims and nab the perpetrators.
