BREAKING: Four killed as Robbers attack bank in Ondo
Four people were feared killed in a bank robbery that occurred in Ile Oluji town, the headquarters of Ile Oluji/Oke-Igbo Local Government Area of Ondo State on Thursday, Nigerian Cable news online has gathered.
The persons killed are two police officers and two yet to be identified persons
The robbers reportedly attacked a branch of a commercial bank in the town.
The Public relations officer of the Ondo state police command, Mr. Femi Joseph who confirmed the attack said a Fresh team of policemen has been detailed to the point of the attack.
The Police P.R.O wrote:
“There is a bank robbery incident currently going on in Ile Oluji involving two Commercial Banks.”
“Our Men as we speak,have moved in to curtail the attackers. For now, the number of casualties are still very sketchy.”
“The hoodlums used dynamites to destroy the gates of the two banks.
However, Preliminary investigation revealed that they did not succeed in taking away anything from one of the banks, but we are still discussing with the officials of the other bank to know if valuables were carted away.”
“We urge citizens to remain calm as the Command will ensure the arrest of the hoodlums and bring them to Justice. Further developments will be made public soon…..”

It was also gathered that Local hunters in the town are already on the trail of the Armed Robbers.
