Fintiri Wins Re-election in Adamawa

The incumbent governor of Adamawa state, Ahamad Fintiri has won his re-election bid for a second term in Office.

According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) returning officer, Professor Mele Lamido, after the collation of the supplementary elections on Tuesday, Fintiri of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) scored 430,861 votes to defeat his closest rival, Aishatu Binani Ahmed of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who scored 398,788 votes.
