Emefiele Granted Bail
The federal high court sitting in Lagos has grant a bail to the suspended governor of the central bank of Nigeria(CBN), Mr. Godwin Emefiele.
The presiding judge, Justice Nicholas Oweibo, of the federal high court granted Emefiele’s bail with the sum of N20M and a surety of like some, after rejecting the federal government’s claim the Emefiele was a flight risk.
The judge had earlier rejected the claim by the federal government that they were not served of Emefiele’s bail application.
The court ruled that there’s evidence that the federal government was served, and that the federal government didn’t provide any fact to support it’s claims.
The court ordered that Emefiele should be remanded in the Ikoyi correctional center, pending the perfection of his bail conditions.
The hearing of the case has been fixed for the 14th of November.
