EFCC Finally Arraigns Buhari’s Ex-SGF, Babachir Lawal
Babachir Lawal, the former secretary to the government of the federation has been arraigned to court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
At the federal high court in Abuja, he is been charged on a 10-count case alongside Hamidu David Lawal; Sulaiman Abubakar; Apeh Monday; Rholavision Engineering Limited and Josmon Technologies Limited.
Recall that just a week ago, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo said President Muhammadu Buhari had prevailed on anti-corruption agencies to prepare criminal charges against Lawal, who was accused of misappropriating money meant for the displaced victims of insurgency.
Buhari had sacked Lawal on October 31, 2017, following his indictment by a senate committee which investigated how millions of emergency funds were unaccounted for.
