Confusing As INEC Rec Declares APC’s Binani Winner of Adamawa Guber Poll

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Resident electoral commissioner, barrister Hudu Yunusa has declared Senator Aisha Dahiru, popularly known as Binani, as winner of the Adamawa Governorship election.

Collation of election results was meant to resume at 11:00am today, with the incumbent governor and candidate of the PDP leading with over 31,000 votes margin.

Governorship election results are traditionally announced by the state returning officer.

Mele Lamido, the returning officer for the Adamawa governorship election, was not present when Ari announced Binani as the winner of the election.
