Adeboye Leads Nationwide Protest Against Insecurity, killings
General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adeboye on Sunday led a protest march against insecurity and killings of Christians across the Nation, especially in northern states.

The Over 70 Year old Man of God personally carried a placard with an inscription “All souls are precious to God” and walked with thousands of his church members around the streets of Lagos.

The March, tagged “Prayer walk against killings” started by 11am shortly after he ended the service at the National Headquarters of the church in Ebute Metta, Lagos.

The man of also wrote on his official Facebook handle:
“Today, Sunday, 2nd of February, 2020, members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God led by me embarked on a prayer walk that will usher in a new dawn in our dear country, Nigeria.”
“The prayer walk was aimed at offering prayers and supplications unto God to save Nigeria from being consumed by insurgents, terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, armed robbers, militants and ritualists in all our states.”
“Furthermore, we declared that Jesus who is the Prince of Peace is our Lord and King. We carried and displayed several placards saying ‘No’ to further killings and demanding that the Federal and State governments should rise up to their civic responsibility of securing the lives and properties of her citizens.”
“In addition to this, we suggest that the security infrastructure in our nation be overhauled and improved drastically.”
“It is our prayer and burning desire that peace will reign in our land. It is our heart-cry that our current security challenges will be a thing of the past.”

In view of Romans 13:1,2 should those who profess to be Christians engage in protests against the government?
It was not a protest… He announced all redeemed members should do a prayer walk so that we pray against the killings… it is not a protest
I tire o. People sha….is it illiteracy or ignorance? This is a prayer work!
Yes please.
First, the govt of the time in which that portion of the bible was written was an autocratic one. This one we have now is a democracy, which means a govt by the people. It is irresponsibility if we don’t engage govt in giving feedbacks on their policies. Protests and what have you are such feedbacks.
2nd, God raise prophets to engage the govts of their time in civic responsibility and leadership all through the bible from genesis, through revelation. Even Paul had a going with the govt of his time, he protested an I’ll treatment, and he appealed to the central authority which was Rome at the time.
You dig?
The Bible says when the righteous rules the city, there will be peace but severe outcry from them when the wicked rules. People have accused this man before for keeping quite in the midst of the calamities faced by Christians while other men of God spoke against it. This is the very first time adeboye is responding despite several pastors of his Church being killed in kano, abuja and others being kidnapped. If you like, quote all the Bible chapters and verses to bring buttress your point but the fact remains that the church will continue to match on and the gate of hell shall not prevail against it. Shalom
This is not against the Government for heaven’s sake. God expects government to protect citizens. This protest calls Government to pick up their responsibilities to protect all citizens. This Federal government and some State governments support Fulanis to kill other people. Import foreigners to kill our people.
Am I glad and overjoyed that at long last the silence has been broken. The only thing required for EVIL to continue is for GOOD to keep quiet. For those that are against this GOD ordained walk, I advice you to leave a Snake under your bed and keep petting it then we can only imagine what the outcome will be. I pray this PRAYER WALK will not stop until the Government does the needful. GBAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
