BEDC Announces Planned Power Outage In Ondo, Ekiti

There will be a blackout in Ondo state and parts of Ekiti state today Sunday, May 30, Nigerian cable news online has gathered.

According to the management of the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) in a notice to electricity consumers on Saturday, the Transmission Company of Nigeria planned outage on the Akure-Osogbo 132Kv line, would be responsible for the blackout.

The notice explained that the power outage initially billed for Saturday, May 29, would now hold today Sunday, May 30, from 8am to 12pm.

The electricity company however assured consumers that power would be restored immediately after the maintenance work on the facility.

The affected areas during the outage are, AKURE township, Ado Ekiti, Igbara Oke, Ikere Ekiti, Iju Itaogbolu and Idanre.

Others are, Owena, Ilawe Ekiti, Ogbese, Ilara Mokin, Awo Ekiti, and Owo town.

Ise/Emure Ekiti, Ifon and Sobe are other areas mentioned in the statement.
