ASUU STRIKE: NANS Occupy Lagos Airport Despite Heavy Security

Nigerian students under the auspices of the National Association of Nigerian Students have made good their threat by protesting at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.

The students, who occupied the airport on Monday are protesting against the prolonged closure of Nigerian Universities due to the strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

They blocked the major entry road into the international airport.

The students, who appeared resolute, were not disturbed by heavy rain and security presence.

They are insisting that the protest will continue until the classrooms are reopened.
