How Arsenal’s Striker Stole Show For Super Eagles.
The Nigeria’s Super Eagles have just sealed their place in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
In a heated match that nearly denied the Super Eagles a winning against the Chipolopolo of Zambia, the substitute player, Alex Iwobi, gave Nigeria, the most anticipated victory this evening.
The match which started at 5pm (NGN Time) was well attended by Nigerian politicians in the likes of the Minister of Sport, Barr. Solomon Dalung, Minister of Housing, Power and Works, Raji Fashola, Former Governor Godswill Akpabio, in the Uyo National Stadium.
Nigeria, having 10 points ahead of Zambia with 9 points in the Group B Qualifying table has earned three more points to finally assure them of preparing ahead of 2018.
Although, it seems to be a balance match of 51% Ball possession for Nigeria and 49% for their Zambian counterpart; and fair card sharing of 2 yellow cards each for both teams but Alex Iwobi, the Arsenal’s striker doused the tension for Super Eagles, clean shave that relaxed the flexed muscle of the Chipolopolo.
Nigeria’s next match will be against Algeria but it really does not mean if they lose or not because of their fantastic performances that placed them on top of the Group B.
