Armed Robber shoots gang member Dead in Ondo

An armed robber has shot a member of his gang dead during a robbery attack in early hour of Thursday in Okitipupa, the headquarters of Okitipupa local government area of the state.

It was gathered that the two criminals had freshly attacked a Point of sale (POS) centre at Apata street in the town with guns. trying to escape on a motorcycle when their victim raised an alarm causing dwellers of the area to chase them. One of the robbers, report says while shooting into the air to scare the crowd accidentally shot his colleague in the skull.

Men of the Nigeria Police Force, Okitipupa Divisional Headquarters recovered from the dead suspect, two guns (life Cartridge), the stolen bag from the POS centre and a cloth belonging to his colleague who absconded but was later apprehended from his hideout.

It was further gathered that the dead suspect simply identify as Kehinde was a notorious armed robber who has been terrorising the neighborhood.

Confirming the incident, the Police PRO in Ondo state, Mr. Tee-leo Ikoro said the Police is already on the trail of other members of the syndicate.
