Akinfemiwa Heads For Appeal Over Ondo Rep, Akinfolarin’s Tribunal Victory

Hon. Abayomi Akinfemiwa of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appealed the judgement of Election Tribunal, given in favour of Hon. Mayowa Akinfolarin of the All Progressive Congress (APC) over the 2019 Ile-Oluji Okeigbo/Odigbo Federal constituency Election.

Nigerian Cable News online reliably gathered that the notice of appeal was filed on Monday, 19th August, 2019 at the Akure division of the Court of Appeal.

Confirming the development in a phone chat with our correspondent, Hon. Akinfolarin, who doubles as the chairman of the house committee on Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) express his optimism on the chances of a fresh victory at the appellate court.

A three man panel headed by justice Nuhu Adi at the 2019 National and state house of Assembly elections petition tribunal in Ondo state had earlier struck out Akinfemiwa’s Petition for lack in merit and inability to prove his allegation of malpractices.
