Akeredolu’s Intervention On Ondo South Light Restoration, A Welcome Development _ Omogbehin

Hon. Mike Adeniyi Omogbehin, A Honourable Member of the house of representatives, representing Okitipupa /Irele federal constituency has appreciated the recent ’11th hour’ intervention of Govervor Rotimi Akeredolu. In the time-honoured struggle to restore power supply to the Ondo south senatorial district of Ondo state.

The attention of Hon. Mike Adeniyi Omogbehin, Honourable Member of the house of representative for Okitipupa /Irele federal constituency has been drawn to a statement released by Ondo State government under the leadership of Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, where it was stated that the governor parley BEDC for immediate restoration of electricity to the affected councils in Ondo south which were put into darkness by BEDC since November 2014.

Hon. Mike wishes to appreciate this kind gesture as a welcome development especially now that the state government has realised why it is important to join forces with him, and the Bring Back Our Light group (BBOL) with other stakeholders in Ondo south, to get BEDC complied with the directives of NERC of July 10, 2017 where the disco company was mandated to restore electricity to the four affected councils through a letter from NERC with Ref number : NERC/05/CA/CCU/BEDC/33/17/1112 following the proof of illegal cut off presented to NERC on July 6, 2017 by his people.

However, Hon. Mike wishes to advise his immediate constituents to remain focus and not allow themselves to be distracted from the fund raising exercise which is to be flagged off by the fund raising committee of the bring back our Light team on November 21, 2017, to enable the affected communities meet up with their own end of the agreement with BEDC.

He also wishes to inform his constituents that Omotosho with immediate communities will be energized before the end of the year in line with the agreement himself and the leaders of Ondo South had with the honourable minister of power, Barr Babtunde Fashola following a fruitful stakeholders meeting at the minister’s office on March 7, 2017.

He also appreciate the people for their patience so far and seek their anticipated support and cooperation in the proposed fund raising exercise which commences from Ode Aye town this month as scheduled by the BBOL team.

Light will soon triumph over darkness in Ondo south. What God has finished cannot finish us.

The people should remain calm and be expectant of light at the end of the tunnel.
