33 New LCDAs: Ondo Assembly Holds Public Hearing

The Ondo State House of Assembly will today, Thursday, August 10 hold a public hearing to discuss the 33 new council areas proposed by the State Government.

In a notice seen by Nigeriancablenewsonline.com , the public hearing is expected to commence by 9AM.

The special adviser to the Ondo state assembly speaker on Media, Drm Sehinde Fanokun also confirmed the development.

According to him, the public hearing will hold at the International Culture & Event Center also known as The Dome, along Igbatoro road in Akure, the State capital.

Last month, the Ondo State Government after an executive council meeting announced that 33 new LCDAs have been approved.

The State Commissioner for Justice, Sir Charles Titiloye while speaking on the development, further disclosed that the proposed LCDAs will be sent to the House for Legislative approval.

The State currently has 18 Local Government Areas. With the proposed 33 new LCDAs, the State now has 51 Local Councils.
