2023: Political Appointees not on our National Delegates list, says Ondo APC

Contrary to the news in some quarters, the Ondo State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) has said there is no political appointee on the national delegates list that was sent from the state for the forthcoming convention of the Party.

The Party’s state Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin dismissed the list circulating on the social media as fake, and misleading.

In a statement signed by the Party’s Publicity secretary, Mr. Alex Kalejaye on Friday, Adetimehin explained that political appointees that earlier made the delegate list had since been replaced, in full compliance with the Electoral Act.

He called on the stakeholders and political supporters to disregard the disfigured narrative, and focus on the forthcoming presidential primary of the ruling party.

“The state chapter congratulates all the candidates that emerged from the recent party’s primaries, and equally commends the local government delegates for proper and matured conducts during the exercise.” The statement added.

Adetimehin urged the Abuja-bound delegates to do the state proud, by exhibiting high level of discipline in all their dealings during the presidential convention.
