2023: PDP structures strengthened as Ogunmusire, Oboli Perfect PDP/ZLP Merger in Ode-Aye
In line with the on going political rearrangements in Ondo State, the merger meeting between the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) was held in Ode-Aye on Friday.
The meeting was at the instance of Pastor Larry Ogunmusire, who is the leader of PDP and Engr Ogunwa Oboli the leader of the ZLP. Both leaders expressed optimism that the new political arrangements in the state will yield positive results in the forthcoming general elections.
In his words, Pastor Larry admonished members of the party to embrace peace and unity of the party at all times.
Ogunmusire, who was the Council Chairman during the era of Dr. Olusegun Mimiko further expressed delight and confidence in the victory of PDP in any future election, due to the alignment of forces among the political gladiators in Ode-Aye politics. He further advised Party members at the meeting to work as a team and to project the best in any outing, as we have APC to contend with.
Similarly, Engr Ogunwa Omoniyi noted that he will always contribute his best to the success of the party. He further advised party loyalists to put personal interest aside so that the Party’s collective interest will prevail.
Ogunwa opined that the new development within the PDP will enhance the rescuing mission of the state from the total misrule of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State and Nigeria at large.
Other notable leaders, who were at the meeting are; Fmr State secretary of the party Chief Oyedele Ibini, Okitipupa local government Chairman of the party Mr Olusola Adewo, Southern chairman of the party Elder Fadope Amos, Mr. Ali Akindele the local government secretary of PDP, Chief Benson Akindiyo-ward1 chairman, Mr Eniola Akinmosin ward2 chairman.
Others are; Chief Dapo Akinteye, Chief Adejare Orina, Prince Oluwatoyin Akinsuroju, Mr Oluwole Sunday, Mrs Iyabo Adeboboye, Hon S.T Aderehinwo, Afolabi Olowomuke and the host of other eminent personalities.
