The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akoko North East/Akoko North West Federal Constituency has held its final rally in Ikare Akoko, the headquarter of Akoko North East local government area.

The rally, which was held on Wednesday climaxed the ward tour embarked on by the lawmaker representing the Federal constituency, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.

The rally had in attendance, party leaders, members and supporters of the party candidates.

While addressing the crowd, Tunji-Ojo called on the people of the constituency to vote massively for the Presidential candidate of the party, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The lawmaker, popularly called BTO, who is seeking a re-election, highlighted his achievements, which have emboldened him to come and solicit their support again.


He said, “Four years ago, we were here to plead for your votes and you gave it to us freely. All the works we have done within these four years are the result of your votes. No political ward has been left out.

“Our water projects, electrification projects, road projects, interventions in the education sector and many other legislative interventions in the constituency.”

While canvassing the crowd to vote the Presidential Candidate of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Tunji-Ojo assured of a better Nigeria should he be elected President.

“Nigeria will be a better country under Asiwaju. He has done it before in Lagos, he will do it again. Consequently, this effect will reach our constituency and you should therefore expect something better from us as your representative.”

Also speaking, the Senatorial candidate of the party in Ondo North Senatorial district, Pastor Jide Ipinsagba stressed the need to give the people a voice at the Red chamber.

Ipinsagba said, “the people of Ondo North senatorial district deserves good and quality representation and this will be pursued to the latter if I am given the mandate. We wil give our people a voice, a louder voice than they have experienced in the past.

“If there was any doubt on our victory, this rally has erased such today and we will repay our people with good representation when elected.”

The Director-General of the campaign Council in the Federal Constituency, Rasheed Badmus, urged for the voters to vote the House of Assembly Candidates of the party including Toyin Japhet for Akoko North East, Fatai Atere for Akoko North West Constituency 1, Taofik Muhammed for Akoko North West Constituency 2

The Member of the House of Representatives representing Odigbo/Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Federal Constituency, Mayowa Akinfolarin and his counterpart from Akure South/Akure North Federal Constituency, Alade Mayokun were present at the rally.

Others at the campaign are the Special Adviser to the Governor on Environment, Niyi Oseni, Barrister Kazeem among others.

Meanwhile, the House of Representatives candidate of the Action Peoples Party (APP) in the Federal Constituency, Afolabi Sunday, also used the opportunity to declare his support for the re-election of Tunji-Ojo.
