2023: APC Begins Campaign In Akoko Northwest, Says Party Candidates Will Win Massively
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akoko Northwest Local Government area of Ondo state has kicked off its Campaign rallies across various wards in the local government on Tuesday.
The party, at the rallies, reassured it’s members of victory at all levels, in preparations for the 2023 general election.
The first rallies were held in Arigidi/Iye Ward 1 and Arigidi Ward 2, with over 3,000 Party members in attendance.
The General elections scheduled for February, 2023 will be the seventh since the country returned to democratic governance 23 years ago, and the APC is already strategising on how to win the poll by stepping up political campaigns.
Speaking at the rally, the Director General of the Presidential Campaign Council in Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency, Rasheed Badmus appreciated the party members for always delivering massive votes to the party in the local government.
He said: “We started our campaign rallies in the two Arigidi wards because it has always being the abode of the Progressives in the State. We did this deliberately because we want to show you that we appreciate what you have done for us in previous elections.”
The Chairman of the party in the local government, Kehinde Obanla stressed the need to reproduce the performance that has always made the local government stand out at the polls in 2023.
According to him, “Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has proven himself to be a great leader and the party is very lucky to have him as its Presidential candidate in the next election.
“Our candidate for the Senate, Jide Ipinshagba is a successful businessman and our own Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo will be rewarded with a second term for his performance.
“Your son, Fatai Atere has been with you for a very long time. He is not a stranger to you. He will represent us very well at the State Assembly.”
In his words, the Director of the Media and Publicity Directorate, Mr. Ife Ehindero said:
“Akoko North West is an APC local government. we must work so hard to ensure the continuity of good governance in our local government, Federal constituency, Senatorial district, and in Nigeria
“We are sure that our members will deliver the local government as the performance of our leader, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo is enough to get us victory.”
Party leaders, Campaign Committee members among others also gave their voices in assurance of victory for the party in 2023, during the rallies.
