2019: Buhari’s Minister Disqualified From Contesting For Oyo Governor

The current minister of communication, Adebayo Shittu has been disqualified from contesting for the office of the governor in Oyo state under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Barrister Shittu was formerly screened by the screening committee despite the emergence of evidence that he did not undergo the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) — same offence for which Kemi Adeosun had to quit her position as Finance Minister.    

However, after the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) met to review the report of the screening committee, it decided against clearing him.
