2019: Atiku Challenges Buhari To Debate

Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party’s has challenged President Muhammadu Buhari, seeking reelection in 2019 election to a debate ahead of the February poll.

The PDP has recently been harping for debate against contenders, the party’s flagbearer reaffirmed his readiness to that exercise today.

At the inauguration of the party’s presidential campaign council in Abuja, he was quoted saying:

“I have been asked to remind the APC and President Muhammadu Buhari that I, Atiku Abubakar, am ready for a debate”.

He also said he is dedicated to an issued-based campaign and not “attack on individuals.”

Last Thursday, the Nigerian Election Debate Group (NEDG) and Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria (BON) announced January 19, 2019 and December 14, 2018 as dates for the 2019 presidential and vice-presidential election debates.
