JUST IN: Saraki Boycotts APC Senators’ Meeting With Buhari

Senate President, Bukola Saraki was obviously absent at the closed door meeting held last night, Wednesday between President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressive’s Congress senators.

His reason is not known but he is one strongly speculated lawmaker to defect from the ruling party soon as 15 of his colleagues did at the last Senate’s meeting.

As a matter of fact, he was said to have told journalist after announcing the defection of some lawmakers that he has a very high chances of leaving APC.

The statement credited to the Senate President came the same day his house was besieged by some security agencies who were alleged to be making attempt to hinder him from attending plenary that day.

He later escaped the blockage as he moves to the National Assembly in his own personal vehicle.

Similarly, he was summoned on Monday evening by the Police to report to their station on Tuesday morning for further questioning over the April offa robbery.

At the yesterday’s meeting that also had Adams Oshiomhole, national
chairman of the party; Boss Mustapha, secretary to the government of the federation; Abba Kyari, chief of staff
to the president in attendance, some of the lawmakers present were Adamu Aleiro, Bala Ibn Na-Allah, Aliyu Wamako, Ibrahim Gobir, Kabiru Marafa, Abu Ibrahim, Kabiru Gaya, Barau Jibrin, Abdullahi Gumel, Shehu Sani, Ahmed Lawan, Ali Ndume, Abubakar Kyari, Baba Kaka Garbai, Aliyu Abdullahi, David Umaru, and Abdullahi Adamu.

Others were George Akume, Francis Alimekhina, Andrew Uchendu, Magnus Abe, Ovie Omo-Agege, John Enoh,
Nelson Effiong, Andy Uba, Sunny Ugboji, Hope Uzodinma, Ben Uwajimogu, Yusuf Yusuf, Oluremi Tinubu, Gbenga Ashafa, Solomon Adeola, Tayo Alasoadura, Soji Akanbi, Omi Ajayi Boroface, Yele Omogunwa, Fatima Rasaki, Olanrewaju Tejuoso, Yahaya Abdullahi.

The senators also absent were Tuani Kaura, Sani Yerima, Umaru Kurfi, Sabo Muhammed, Bukar Abba Ibrahim,
Mustapha Mohammed, Danjuma Goje, Binta Garba, Ahmed Abubakar, Gbolahan Dada, Babajide Omowarare, Abdulfatai Buhari and Olusola Adeyeye.
