Agadagba-Obon/Arogbo Bridge Pivotal To Your Development, Ebiseni Tells Arogbo-Ijaw PDP Leaders
It was homecoming for Chief Sola Ebiseni, the leading PDP aspirant in the November Ondo State governorship election as he met with leaders of the party in Arogbo on Monday ahead of the Party primaries.
He said the development of the Arogbo-Ijaw kingdom was connected with a bridge linking Agadagba-Obon and Arogbo town and regretted that “this project as an indispensable catalyst of development had been awarded by the NDDC for close to two decades without execution”.
He said, as governor of the state, he would give priority to the construction of the bridge and additional kilometres of road that would connect Arogbo town with New Jerusalem in strategic partnership between NDDC and OSOPADEC.
According to him, NDDC and OSOPADEC were established as interventionist agencies of development which would work in synergy on sustainable capital projects during his tenure as governor of Ondo State.
He recalled several projects he executed across Arogbo-Ijaw land during his tenure as Chairman of Ilaje/Ese-Odo Local Government and as part of different administrations as a 3-times Commissioner in the state.
A lawyer and traditional title holder, the Ibedubamowe of Arogbo-Ibe, recalled that as Chairman of the Ondo State Law Commission during the Mimiko administration, he initiated the amendment of a section of the Chiefs law enacted during the military which was discriminatory against the Agadagba of Arogbo-Ijaw.
Ebiseni who was also a Federal Government delegate at the 2014 National Conference said he would leverage on his experience and knowledge of the state to deliver dividends of democracy evenly and justly amongst the different local governments and peoples of the state.
Prominent leaders at the meeting included Chief Sunday Yayu, former legislator and Chairman Ese-Odo Local Government; Bekekimi Idiarhi; former Special Adviser to the State Government on Niger Delta Affairs and Commissioner for Commerce; Thompson Akah; Ese-Odo Party Chairman; Bonsue Ominidougha; Suffy Uguoji; Barrister Jolowo Austin; Jikeri Utton; Israel Omokenigha; High Chief Kpejo; Ernest Oniemofe; Jebe Pat, the Local Government Woman Leader etc.
