US-based Philanthropist, Daramola begins construction of Boreholes in Ikale communities
A United States based Philanthropist, Mr. Olumuyiwa Daramola, through the Olumuyiwa Daramola Foundation has started the construction of modern boreholes across communities in Okitipupa/Irele federal constituency.
Mr. Olumuyiwa, a Medical Doctor and son of former Minister of State, Niger Delta, Professor Claudius Omoleye Daramola intends to provide free, potable and easily accessible Public water supply in the communities listed for the construction.
The borehole project, sponsored by Dr. Olumuyiwa has started in Ode-Erinje community, and is scheduled to continue at Ode-Irele later this week.
This swift fulfilment to promise has caught the attention of well-meaning sons and daughters across Ikale land, who have since taken turns to thank the sponsor for his kind gesture.
The list of applause is led by indigenes of Ode-Erinje, the first beneficiary community, who had taken to the street and media in their numbers to hail this gesture.
Whilst taking turn around to weigh responses to this gesture, a resident of the community, Mr. Iseoluwa Ogunsanmi was one amongst countless others, who couldn’t hide their joy.
“I would like to appreciate Dr Olumuyiwa Daramola on behalf of myself and our people because this project came unexpectedly, and at a time it appears we’re in dire need of it”, he said.
Corroborating Mr. Ogunsanmi’s words was Chief Balogun, who in an appreciative cum joyous mood expressed further, how getting potable water has tended to be costly and quite strenuous. He appreciated the timeliness and expected immense impact of the project. Hence, capping it all with fervent prayers on the sponsor of the projects.
Different groups of Ikale young and old have also joined in identifying with the loads of appraisal for this project, whilst demanding more from the sponsor and charging every other prominent sons and daughters of Ikale land to follow suit as the development of the entire land is a duty of all.
Other communities scheduled to benefit from the first phase of the water supply Project include Ode-Irele, Ikoya and Ode-Aye.
